Here at the UCAN centre we work in partnership with other agencies and residents to help tackle environmental issues and improve the Great Lever Area. The centre and its partner agencies are always happy to help local residents, so if you have an initiative planned, let us know at the centre so we can do our best to help you.

In August 2010 a number of local children from the area took part in the Clean Up Calvert Road initiative held at the centre. The children were issued with protective clothing, litter pickers and bags and collected over a 6 bags of litter from Calvert Road.

The centre also issues dog owners with free Poop Bags in an effort to assist the council in keeping our pavements and grass areas free from dog fouling. |

Irwell Valley undertakes regular walk about estate inspections to ensure our properties and neighbourhoods are in excellent condition. All residents regardless of tenure are welcome to take part in our inspections. If you would like to take part please contact Abid Riaz (Neighbourhood Manager on 01204 451 000 & 07795 266 396 or turn up on one of the following dates below.
