Volunteer Opportunities
- UCAN Assistant – experience not required but reliability and a willingness to learn is essential. Duties include greeting residents as the come into the centre, dealing with enquiries, answering the telephone. Training will be provided and CRB checks will be needed. Required Monday, Thursday or Friday, various hours available between 10am and 4pm.
- ESOL Homework Tutor – previous experience working or volunteering in an ESOL or teaching setting is essential. Hours are Friday (Term Time) 10am – 12noon Contact us, we are happy to help if you have a skill or a hobby that you would like to share with others such as painting, knitting, dance, henna painting, threading etc or you may wish to run a coffee morning.
Job Search
This is a drop in service where you can use the computers and search online for jobs. Staff are on available if you need any assistance such as sending a CV via email.

This is a more intensive session available to those who need assistance writing CV’s and covering letters or need more assistance with online job searches.
